- Drysuit Systems
Drysuits open up an entirely new world of diving, from Antarctic glaciers to Lake Michigan shipwrecks to extended duration deep dives. They are a popular option for technical and professional divers who must endure conditions that recreational divers would normally not encounter. Drysuits function by inflating air into the suit from the inflator hose, creating a sealed pocket of air around the diver. Divers looking to go into harsh environments like shipwrecks and caves must consider the durability of drysuit material (tears and rips will compromise the seal and dryness) and must be able to control their buoyancy with the added layer of their suit. Drysuit users must complete a drysuit certification course, which we offer for free with every drysuit purchased from us.
